On the east bank of the Greenway system there is currently 5 total miles of Greenway. If you start at the northern section of the Three Rivers Greenway you can start at the Riverfront Park component of the Greenway at the Diversion Dam and work your way south to the Gervais Street Bridge. This section of Greenway is 3 miles.

The next section of Greenway is Granby Park that is located at the end of Catawba Street off Huger Street in Columbia. This 1/2 mile section of Greenway was the first portion of Greenway that was opened in 1998. 

Connecting seamlessly to Granby Park, the next section of Greenway is the Mill Villages Riverlink. This component is 1.5 miles and links the University of South Carolina’s campus to the Congaree River.

Parking

To Granby Park:

From Spartanburg:

Go down I-26 toward downtown Columbia. Veer off onto Huger Street. Cross over Blossom Street. Make a right onto Catawba Street.

To Riverfront Park / Canal Embankment

From downtown Columbia - Take I-126 toward Spartanburg. Exit off at Greystone Blvd - make a right toward Broad River Road. Make a right onto Broad River Road - go approximately 1/2 mile to 1 mile, you will drive over the river - entrance is on left after crossing over the Broad River.

From I-26 / Spartanburg - Take I-26 toward downtown Columbia - exit off at Greystone Blvd and loop around - make a right back over bridge toward Broad River Road. Make a right onto Broad River Road - go approximately 1/2 mile to 1 mile, you will drive over the river - entrance is on left after crossing over the Broad River.
