The Cayce Riverwalk and Cayce Riverwalk Extension groundbreaking took place in
January 2002. This was a major step forward in a joint effort by the City
of Cayce and the River Alliance’s plan to protect our regions rivers and provide
recreational benefits to our collective communities.
The ceremony marked the beginning of the Cayce Riverwalk construction. 
The Cayce Riverwalk and Cayce Riverwalk Extension officially opened in late
October 2002.

Cayce Riverwalk and
it's Riverwalk Extension provide
37 acres of the 12-mile linear park Three
Rivers Greenway. Cayce Riverwalk is
located on the west bank of the Congaree River between Knox Abbott Drive and
State Street in Cayce. The main entrance of the park is off Axtell Drive,
however bicycle and pedestrian access is provided from
Knox Abbott Drive as well as State Street.
The park is dog friendly offers bridges, boardwalks, overlooks, bank
fishing, and one and a half miles of lighted central paths which
accommodates all levels of physical access including baby carriages and
wheelchairs.
