The River Alliance has been selected to receive the 2005 South Carolina Wildlife Federation Conservation Award for Outdoor Ethics.
The Federation honored 15 Conservationists at the 41st
Annual Conservation Awards Banquet
Mike Dawson, Chief Executive Officer of the River Alliance, accepts the award for Outdoor Ethics
Sponsored by BMW Manufacturing Corp, the Awards Banquet took place at the
Marriott at Renaissance Park near downtown Spartanburg on Saturday, January 21.
Fifteen individuals and organizations that have played a major part in
conserving South Carolina’s natural habitats for future generations were
recognized.
Our keynote speaker for the awards banquet this year was Doug Inkley, Senior
Science Advisor for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). In his speech and
presentation, he discussed the effects of Global Warming on wildlife and their
habitats in South Carolina.
