Columbia Regional Sports Council serves Columbia and Richland and Lexington counties by providing the coordination of sporting events, facilities and associations in the City of Columbia, as well as promoting the Columbia Riverbanks Region as a premiere destination for sporting and recreational events.
Congaree Riverkeeper works to protect and improve water quality,
wildlife habitat, and recreation on the Congaree, Lower Saluda and Lower
Broad Rivers through advocacy, education and enforcement of
environmental laws. We are affiliated with the Waterkeeper Alliance, a
global movement of on-the-water advocates who patrol and protect rivers
and coasts all over the world.
Harbison State Forest is located approximately nine miles from downtown Columbia, the park includes over sixteen winding miles of roads and trails, and is bounded along its northeastern edge by the dazzling waters of the Broad River.

The Waterfront Center, a non-profit educational organization, was formed in 1981 in the belief that waterfronts — where the land meets the ocean, bay, lake, river or canal — are unique, finite resources. The vital characteristic that separates waterfronts from other areas in a community is the relationship to water.
